| Its only a suggestion for now. Since I don't know a thing about most items up there. Also, small and large ladders arn't listed.
But I suppose its something to work off of. I'd definitly like prices to reflect Plymouth. Heh.
(And for some reason, I couldn't get here before.)

| Hides ... the minimum price for hides is £15
Hides normally sell for £15-£16 Wool is typically £11-£12 but this would depend on market demand. some towns wool is priced over £12
The price of a Mantle at £270/280 is totally unrealistic. Even with using raw materials wool/hides at bottom prices of £11 and £15 and no wage content the weaver would make a loss selling this item at this price. To fit in with the price structure already indicated on the other garments you are looking at £315-£334
Zangi I'm not sure it is realistic to expect prices to be as they are in Plymouth. This is the Capital city and in comparison to Plymouth will have less fields, so a lot more good will need to be imported and that is likely to mean higher prices.
These prices are based on the county buying prices and are probably lower than they should be. My understanding of the County buying prices is that that is what they are prepared to pay to buy a Towns surplus and are not necessarily the prices that should be on a towns market.
They are a good place to start but I think we should let Exeter naturally form its own prices, based on supply and demand and people being able to earn a reasonable wage from their land and crafts.

| Thank you, Seer, for the information and detailed explanation.
(we can amend this list once we have more information, which was Zangi's plan, I am sure, and it's great to have the list he made to work from!)

| (I'll be a bit 'floodish', but since the Forum is slow for now...)
I did not feel you were attacking him at all, seriously, just added a little touch to make sure no one else (nor Zangi) would feel you were (sometimes writing appears dry, where when spoken it would not at all!).

| Not sure what the list is for, but I assume it is for advising through the TH. Personally, I buy and sell based on the number available which makes the town a variable amount of money, but this could work.
Just be careful not to buy anything (talking to Pangea) that you can't sell.
I would lower the following sell prices.
Corn 3.50 Meat 18 Iron 19
I would advise hides at 15 (lowest listed), but the town should sell at 16 (the amount of the autosell, can't change it unfortunately).
That is a good start.
Thoughts? | |

| When it is considered. Exeter will have at most 100 fields. Whenever the population hits that 'time'. We will most likely have to be importing a lot. As I suspect thats how it will end up as.
Traders Towns and the Cornwall Council would want to get in on the trade. As we won't be able to sustain ourselves as well as the other towns as time passes.
And I figured we'd have that because Plymouth had one... (Which I never even looked at... >.>)

| I think it is a good thing to have, even if only to help newcomers to check on prices (there are many things for which I, for one, still have no idea of what is a good price). If there is, say, only one price for ladders on sale, the list can help see if it is low or high etc.
We can work on this list for a little while, and then post it as reference.

| http://forum.renaissancekingdoms.com/viewtopic.php?p=462526#462526 I find this thread invaluable for checking the prices throughout the county as an individual. Its evaluation might be useful for the purposes of suggesting prices on the player market.
I don't believe it is what the TH should be using for determining what price to buy things at. I think that should be based on the Counties buying prices. http://forum.renaissancekingdoms.com/viewtopic.php?t=28754
then there is also this that admittedly there have been some changes since its development but it might be useful http://forum.renaissancekingdoms.com/viewtopic.php?t=3114 I have certainly found it interesting in my study of the wage/benefit content of items priced on the market.
I agree Zangi I always used the price list in the town hall to guide me with selling my products at least until I became more aware of what was happening in that market.

| Not having excel on this cpu is annoying.
And thanks for updating the list. But yea, something to add: http://forum.renaissancekingdoms.com/viewtopic.php?t=5235 Small Ladders: 20.00/25.00 Pounds Large Ladders: 60.00/75.00 Pounds Unhooped Buckets: 20.00/25.00 Pounds
Based on: (Unless this changed) Unhooped Bucket = 1 Wood Bushel (4 Pounds + 16-21 Pound Wage) 1 Small Ladder = 1 Wood Bushel (4 Pounds + 16-21 Pound Wage) 1 Large Ladder = 2 Small Ladders (8 Pounds + 52-67 Pounds for 3 days of work. [17.33-22.33 Pound Wage per day.])
Also, as baker, I would 'LOVE' to see Flour Bag prices, a tiny bit lower.
I've been buying them at 15.20 recently. 36 Bread = 12 Flour Bags and 6 Wood Bushels
12 Flour Bags @ 15.20 = 182.40 Pounds 6 Wood Bushels @ 4.00 = 24 Pounds Cost = 206.40 Pounds
36 Bread @ 6.25 = 225 Pounds (18.60 Profit) 36 Bread @ 6.30 = 226.80 Pounds (20.40 Profit) 36 Bread @ 6.35 = 228.60 Pounds (22.20 Profit)
(I don't have a field and bread doesn't fly off the shelf as much as I'd like it to. And it seems I've just entered a price war with Peteflet of Barnstaple, who has higher charm. As a baker with no field. I absolutely have to keep my product moving out to make any money.)
... Is the town hall willing to buy bread at 6.20 or 6.25? Then sell it at 6.30 or 6.35 in the town hall? Pangea? As a tavern owner? (I'll of course keep 20 or so pieces in players market at 6.30 pounds for when the town hall is closed for the night.)

| Zangi,
Concerning the County Grant items I put up for sale, I follow the prices set by Lynet for County purchase/sale, that are posted -->HERE<--. Thus, I put up 18 flour bags at 15,25 pounds each (18 left), 15 wood bushels at 4,00 pounds each (15 left), 20 bread loaves at 6,50 pounds each (a lot left, but these shouldn't sell, more 'just in case' food).
Peteflet should only be in town for a couple days, since he came with Anto and crew for the carnival.
Regarding bread: ~ as a tavern owner ('Mother Earth'), I plan on moving away from bread (only 6 loaves left) to sell Corn instead for a while (I'll have 55 or so in stock in a bit less than a week, with next crop) so I would not do such a deal with you on a personal level ~ however, when elected (since I think no one can be candidate now that voting has started) we could make a deal with you for the Town to purchase bread that I can then sell through the municipal tavern (even when the market is grant locked) and on the TH Market
Finally, concerning the price list, let us keep on revising it as such with the input from all, and once/if I am elected, we can check the last items and compare to County prices (the link above) and post these guidelines

| Pangea, you will need to stay the county's trader for 4 days after the election. I will be traveling to Fowey to pick up Lynet (she is moving here, and I am a lord, and have a lot more strength than her).
I will leave teh reset you become Mayor.
