| The first idea of Zangi's I wished to discuss, is his thought that we should promote Pig fields (and Fruit, but more on that later). The goal being (but he will explain more if need be) that Exeter will have to import/export (only 1 field per person) and so to specialize will be good. Thus pigs will mean exporting Meat and HHWs. (and then the Fruit export).
Any thoughts?
My two (slight) concerns were: ~ not over-specializing and being subject to price drops (but that would probably not be the case, even if a lot become pig farmers, before a while) ~ making sure it fits within the County's views for the future (not competing with another town in Cornwall, doing bad to both)

| No town in Cornwall, has a specialization. Other then Fish and Wood of course. While we have fruit.
Dartmouth and Plymouth, if anything is 'dominantly' wheat and veggie. The other 3 are probably similar.
Self-sufficiency is not possible if we want Exeter to grow. Its better to make our exports and imports simple and defined now. Because we will have to import in the future anyways.
Exeter has the capicity to trade a lot of money in and out every day. Truly a center of trade, as any city should be.

| It seems Barnstaple is specialized in Bread (lots of wheat and millers).
Concerning pigs, they need 44 corn per week, so it is said that to feed and sell meat at a good price you need to buy corn at 3.20 to 3.25.

| Exeter, will always have at least 3 people here. To help keep a watch on the market.
The mayor, town trade minister, and the county trade minister(In the future, the council will have to move here to do any Council business). Maybe later on, the bank, which is me at this time, whenever I do get replaced as town trade minister.
And the town could give a grant to more people to help take care of the market, if needed.
(Barnstaple has a LOT of Millers, which must be why their flour is cheap.)

| Well, seems I'll have to step up and get these trade relations up and quick for our corn. We have a few days yet. | |

| I do great business as a pig farmer. Of course, I immediately transfer that into meat as a butcher... | |

| Good idea also, Darrell!
(Methos : can we hire you to get rid of some of our opponents' bodies? You can then sell the meat...)

| Hmmm HHW...
Can be sold at the town hall at 14 pounds I see.... We generally see it at 15 pounds, everywhere else, am I right?
Well, today, I got my first pig slaughtered. 7 pieces. We can say, thats the average all our pig farmers get.
Killed at Day 11... 11 days of work?
1 Pig = 25 Pounds Feed = 10 Corn @ 3,40 Pounds (34,00 Pounds) Slaughter = 1 Knife @ 17,50 Pounds (May last for more then 1 use.) Work = 1 Hired @ 16,00 Pounds Expense = 92.50 Pounds
1 Pig produces 7 HHW (Averaged, can be more or less.) Sold @ 14,00 Pounds (98,00 Pounds) 5,50 Profit Sold @ 14,25 Pounds (99,75 Pounds) 7,25 Profit Sold @ 14,50 Pounds (101,50 Pounds) 9,00 Profit Sold @ 14,75 Pounds (103,25 Pounds) 10,75 Profit Sold @ 14,80 Pounds (103,60 Pounds) 11,10 Profit
4 Pigs = 100 Pounds Feed = 40 Corn @ 3,40 Pounds (136,00 Pounds) Slaughter = 2 Knives @ 35,00 Pounds (May need less or more) Work = 4 Hired @ 64,00 Pounds Expense = 335,00 Pounds
4 Pigs produces 28 HHW (Averaged, can be more or less.) Sold @ 14,00 Pounds (392,00 Pounds) 57,00 Profit (Wage of 5,18 a day.) Sold @ 14,25 Pounds (399,00 Pounds) 64,00 Profit (Wage of 5,81 a day.) Sold @ 14,50 Pounds (406,00 Pounds) 71,00 Profit (Wage of 6,45 a day.) Sold @ 14,75 Pounds (413,00 Pounds) 78,00 Profit (Wage of 7,09 a day.) Sold @ 14,80 Pounds (414,40 Pounds) 79,40 Profit (Wage of 7,22 a day.)
I believe thats how the calculation looks....
